Description of the study programme
Contemporary world is characterized by both globalization and integration processes which affect almost all areas of human life. The issues foreign policy makers deal with today influence more and more lives of ordinary people. The governments are no more able to solve some problems individually, such as international terrorism or climate change. This new situation has led to increased importance of international relations, and at the same time created the need for experts who will not only be able to understand those issues, but also find solutions and answers to contemporary challenges.
The aim of the Faculty is to provide students from Croatia and abroad with education in various academic disciplines of international relations and diplomacy. Being aware of the importance of an academic exchange, Libertas has established cooperation with some of the world’s most prestigious universities teaching those disciplines. The program has been designed in accordance with similar academic programs at other international universities.
Upon completion, the students will have earned 180 ECTS points and will be able to continue their studies at graduate study programs at Libertas International University or other institutions of higher education in Croatia, Europe or the rest of the world. Our alumni study diplomacy at the graduate level in China, Russia, America, Austria, and Croatia. Students can adapt their study program to their personal interests in the field of international relations. This provides them with the opportunity from the very start of their studies to work more intensely on some specific areas of the field of diplomacy and international relations.

- preispitati aktualna politička pitanja i valorizirati religijski kontekst
- primijeniti načela pisane i usmene akademske i diplomatske komunikacije u njima respektivnim situacijama
- rangirati povijesni kontinuitet civilizacija i ključne aspekte diplomacije
- kritički prosuđivati aktualne probleme u međunarodnim političkim odnosima u okvirima teorija međunarodnih odnosa
- rangirati aktere međunarodnih političkih odnosa u okvirima komparativnih političkih i pravnih sustava suverenih država međunarodnih organizacija
- preispitati međunarodne političke odnose s obzirom na njihovu geopolitičku dimenziju
- valorizirati postupke aktera u međunarodnim odnosima u odnosu na normativne okvire etike i političke filozofije
- identificirati motive, uzroke i posljedice događaja u povijesti diplomacije i svjetskoj političkoj povijesti
- kritički prosuđivati povijesni tijek događaja u suvremenoj povijesti regije (Jugoistočne Europe i prostora bivše Jugoslavije)
- zaključivati o aktualnim problemima u međunarodnim političkim odnosima u odnosu na kulturno-civilizacijski i religijski kontekst povijesnog razvoja suvremenih država
- identificirati motive, uzroke i posljedice stvaranja velikih međunarodnih političkih , ekonomskih i sigurnosnih organizacija
- procijeniti utjecaj aktera u postojećim međunarodnim institucijama i režimima
- zaključivati o uzrocima diplomatskog djelovanja država s obzirom na njihovu pripadnost i sudjelovanje u različitim međunarodnim organizacijama, institucijama i režimima
