Master of Physical Therapy
About
Physical therapy is a healthcare profession that has been growing intensely and demanding that physiotherapists implements the best possible professional practices in their work, based on scientific knowledge. The complexity of healthcare procedures, new methodologies and technologies call for the acquisition of additional skills and competencies.
Due to the demographic changes in the country, changes in the organisation of the healthcare system in the public and private health sectors, morbidity rates from chronic non-contagious diseases, as well as health tourism development, there is an increased need for experts educated to implement complex physiotherapy and rehabilitation procedures in accordance with the recommendations by the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT).
The university graduate study programme of Physical Therapy represents a vertical continuation of education, according to the Bologna principles and the European and global education standards of this occupation.
It comprises and is founded on three key study areas: the fundamental biomedical science as the basis for understanding the process physical therapy implementation, the modern methodology and technology in physiotherapy, and the scientific evaluation of the existing and research into new physiotherapy methods related to disease, rehabilitation, prevention and enhancement of health.
The study programme conforms to the highest European standards and educational programmes at European higher education institutions, and it is highly student-centred.
Upon completion of the programme, the Master of Physical Therapy will have acquired the ability to provide complex physiotherapy procedures, to participate in the education of other physical therapists, to continue their own education, research and scientific activity in the area of biomedicine and healthcare

Enrollment conditions
Candidate enrolment selection procedure:
The selection procedure consists of evaluation of previous studying performance. The performance is assessed on the basis of grade point average of all passed course exams on the study programme, including the final thesis grade.
The enrolment procedure is completed once all available study places are filled. The call for enrolment is open until the final student quota is reached.
Important notice:
The minimum grade point average for enrolment is 4.0
Candidates with a GPA lower than 4.0 need to submit recommendations by two higher education teachers at whose courses they achieved enviable success.
Enrolment applications and enrolment procedure:
The candidates fill in the application form on the Libertas International University website. After the enrolment fee has been recorded, the candidate will receive the text of the Education and Tuition Fee Agreement on their personal web portal with instructions for its completion and submission.
