This year Libertas International University is the host of the third international conference „Tourism and Development 2016: Urban Environments“ held from 1st to 3rd December 2016 in Zagreb, Trg J.F.Kennedya 6b.
The conference is organised in partnership with the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor in Brežice, Slovenia and the Faculty of Sport and Tourism in Novi Sad, Serbia.
This year’s conference topics are:
Panel/Topic 1:
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS OF URBAN ENVIRONMENTS – forms and consequences of tourist pressure on urban environments, design of urban spaces, urban architecture, tourism signalisation, special planning and development, protection and enhancement of urban and natural heritage in cities, urban ecotourism, regional and economic development of urban environments
Panel/Topic 2:
GEOPOLITICAL AND SECURITY ASPECTS OF URBAN ENVIRONMENTS – political aspects of tourism as factors of peace and security, diplomacy, security as a challenge, tourism as hegemony, urban living, terrorism and migrations, security and large event organisation
Panel/Topic 3:
