A group of students and professors from Libertas International University had the pleasure of visiting Sarajevo, the capital of our neighboring country – Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main idea and wish in visiting this historical city was to do the study trip related to International Relations and International Business.
On the first day in Sarajevo, students visited the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina that was arranged by a dear friend of the University, prof. Gary O’Callaghan. A 45 minute lecture was held by Mr. Adnan Muminovic, Political Economic Officer at European Union Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He introduced the students with the work of European Union in Sarajevo and talked about Bosnia and Herzegovina’s journey in becoming a candidate to join the European Union. On the second day of the visit, students had the pleasure of visiting the Croatian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina where they were welcomed by the Croatian ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, ambassador mr.sc. Ivan Del Vechio. On their last day in Sarajevo, students had a city tour of Sarajevo where they had an opportunity to learn more about the importance of this capital city, its political, religious and economic significance. Having the opportunity to communicate with the ambassador directly was of a great importance for future diplomats.
Overall, the students as well as the faculty were immensely content with Sarajevo trip and we truly hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming our Sarajevo hosts in at our University.
