A trip field to Pelješac as a part of the course International Business

As a part of the undergraduate course International Business, our professor Janice McCormick and lecturer Iva Adžić Kušt took students on a field trip to Pelješac to visit WPD Wind Manager Croatia and the wind farm Ponikve. This was an opportunity to learn more about a multinational company (headquartered in Bremen, Germany) that started as a two man company in 1996, but is now an active global developer and operator of wind farms and solar parks around the world. WPD is currently present in 21 countries, where 2200 employees are working on managing over 2000 turbines with an output of 4,450 MW.

On their way back to Dubrovnik, International Business class had an opportunity to stop in Orašac to visit Sun Gardens Dubrovnik, a 201 room five-star hotel and its 207 fully – appointed residences, part of The Leading Hotels of the World, a prestigious collection of independent luxury hotels. Students learned more about their operations, opportunities and challenges in working with different cultures around the world.
When you study at Libertas International University, you learn in the classroom, but outside of it as well!
