Libertas International University, the oldest private university in Croatia, has been publishing the scholarly journal International Studies since 2019. The University owns and finances the journal. However, the journal has a long tradition of scholarly publishing, starting from the first issue published in 2000. Libertas International University also publishes the scholarly journals Acta Economica Et Turistica and Zbornik sveučilišta Libertas, as well as scholarly books.
Libertas International University developed out of Libertas Business School in Zagreb and DIU Libertas International University in Zagreb and Dubrovnik. In 2016, these two institutions merged, and today Libertas International University consists of four faculties and a business school, namely the Faculty of International Relations and Diplomacy, the Faculty of International Business and Economics, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Film and Performing Arts, and Libertas Business School. Classes at Libertas are held in Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Kutina.
Full-time and part-time students are given a choice between eight undergraduate, five graduate, one postgraduate specialist, and one postgraduate doctoral study program. This means that at Libertas, students have the opportunity to study from the undergraduate to the doctoral level – an opportunity not given by any other private higher education institution in Croatia. So far, the opportunities that Libertas offers have been welcomed by students from Croatia and 30 other countries from all over the world.
