International Studies

International Studies is a scholarly journal that aims to expand knowledge within the wider field of international relations through new theoretical and methodological contributions, as well as through empirical research. It is intended for the academic community that studies international relations through political science, history, economics, philosophy, etc. The topics are set broadly but the Editors may narrow them down if necessary and seek an emphasis on international relations as a discipline of political science. The journal strives to foster an open debate on important issues in international relations, a field that it approaches in a broader sense and encourages an interdisciplinary approach. The journal publishes double-blind peer reviewed scholarly papers, as well as non-scientific papers reviewed by the Editors. The journal is open to all prospective authors regardless of their academic rank or geographical location.
The journal has an Editorial Board that includes reputable domestic and international scholars and is included in many established international scholarly databases. The journal publishes scientific articles, book reviews and other relevant content. Two issues of the journal are published annually (Summer and Winter), both electronically and in print. Articles are published in Croatian and English. Each article has titles, abstracts, and keywords in both Croatian and English. The author (or authors) is the copyright holder and retains publishing rights.
Libertas International University has published International Studies since 2019, however the journal has a long tradition of scholarly publishing, starting from the first issue published in 2000. The journal does not charge article processing fees to authors and is published in Platinum Open Access meaning that all published content is available to readers free of charge. International Studies is financially supported by the Publisher, Libertas International University.
All issues of the journal are permanently archived on the Hrčak website of the journal ie. the Hrčak Portal of Croatian scientific and professional journals.
